A passion for the outdoors. It’s a feeling that has been ingrained in Todd Hodnefield for as long as he can remember. It was not until he took a summer job with a landscaping company in high school that he recognized a way to combine that passion with a successful career.

In 1996, Todd and his wife, Holly, started Heartland Landscaping and began creating spaces with integrity, professionalism and personality. What started with a handful of employees working in the St. Cloud area has grown to two teams of experts transforming spaces throughout Minnesota.

Today, Heartland Landscaping specializes in providing stylish solutions for custom homes. We offer a wide range of landscaping services from boulder walls and nova brick to water features and plant selection. We bring particular expertise to building retaining walls and installing paving stones.

Our team of professionals has at least 19 years of experience in the industry and regularly attends trainings to stay at the forefront of landscaping trends and installation methods. We build to engineered specifications to ensure our work lasts a lifetime. We are nationally certified to install paving stones and retaining walls.
